3.6-Liter Pentastar V-6 with eTorque

The 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with eTorque produces 269 pound-feet of torque. The eTorque hybrid system increases fuel efficiency to an EPA-rated 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. Properly equipped, the 2.6-liter V-6 has a maximum towing capacity of 7,410 pounds. This engine is available on the Limited Longhorn, Laramie, Rebel, Big Horn, and Tradesman trims.

5.7-Liter HEMI V-8 with eTorque

The 395-horsepower, 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with eTorque is capable of producing 410 pound-feet of torque. Ram’s new mild-hybrid system, eTorque, uses a 48-volt battery-powered generator instead of a traditional alternator.

The HEMI V-8 with eTorque has an impressive maximum towing capacity of 11,320 pounds. This hybrid system has an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency of 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. The 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with eTorque is available on the Limited, Limited Longhorn, Laramie, Rebel, Big Horn, and Tradesman trims.

5.7-Liter HEMI V-8

One of the most popular RAM 1500 engines, the 395-horsepower, 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine produces 410 pound-feet of torque. Rams equipped with the HEMI V-8 engine have a towing capacity of 11,410 pounds. This engine has an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency of 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. The 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 is available on the Limited, Limited Longhorn, Laramie, Rebel, Big Horn, and Tradesman trims.

3.0-Liter Ecodiesel V-6

The 3.0-liter Ecodiesel V-6 engine is a powerful engine, with a maximum torque of 480 pound-feet. The 260-horsepower engine is also the most fuel-efficient Ram engine, with an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The Ecodiesel V-6 has a maximum towing capacity of 9,860 pounds. The Ecodiesel is available on the Limited, Limited Longhorn, Laramie, Rebel, Big Horn, and Tradesman trims.

Supercharged 6.2-Liter HEMI V-8

The Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 is only available on the brand-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. This 702-horsepower engine produces a whopping 650 pound-feet of torque. This engine makes the TRX almost unstoppable, with a top speed of 118 mph and the ability to withstand nearly 20,000 pounds of force. The supercharger provides quick acceleration, allowing the TRX to go from zero to 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds.
