Nestled right beside the river and the very scenic Mirror Pond, it’s a wonderful place to relax with a hot or iced brew and a beautiful view.
Their signature coffees are the Bees Knees, the Dirty Hippie, the Caramelicious, the Killer Bee, and the Velvet Elvis, all of which are certainly worth a try. They also bake their own muffins, donuts, and other treats on-site. You’ll find Looney Bean of Bend at 961 NW Brooks Street.
Thump Coffee
In the heart of downtown, coffee lovers can find this excellent gourmet coffee house and roastery at 25 NW Minnesota Avenue. The spacious interior has a trendy feel with bare brick walls, a wide range of seating choices, and pleasant music. The servers here clearly love what they do and see coffee-making as a craft with every cup requiring careful attention and care, all the way down to the coffee art and presentation.
They source their own beans and sell them in-house and online; some of their unique offerings are the Ethiopian Natural Yirgacheffe, the Storm King Espresso, and the Tiddly Winks Swiss Water Decaf coffee. You can also enjoy a variety of freshly made cookies, cakes, bagels, pastries, and other baked treats, which include gluten-free options.
Backporch Coffee Roasters
This roomy, quiet, comfortable coffee house is another local place for coffee connoisseurs to appreciate a really well-made cup of coffee. It’s a spacious, well-lit establishment, with big windows and lots of light: an ideal place to catch up with friends or coworkers. A couple of the local favorite beverages include the honey lavender latte and the ginger-heavy chai latte.
